A Coruña, situated on the northern coast of Galicia in Spain, is a city of maritime beauty and cultural significance. Its defining feature is the expansive waterfront promenade, the Paseo Marítimo, which stretches alongside the Atlantic Ocean and offers stunning views of the coastline and the iconic Tower of Hercules lighthouse, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to Roman times.
Avenida de la Marina, known for its elegant buildings with glassed-in galleries. These colorful galleries are actually the rear facades of the houses. From here, enjoy views of the harbor and its fishing tradition. Take the opportunity to have a drink or breakfast at one of the terraces overlooking the port.
The city's historic center, Ciudad Vieja, is a charming labyrinth of narrow streets lined with elegant galleries, cafes, and shops. A Coruña is also home to the Domus museum, dedicated to human evolution, and the Casa Museo Emilia Pardo Bazán, honoring the renowned Galician writer.
